Piergiorgio Odifreddi new member of the Jury of the City of Como Award

The organization of the City of Como Award is pleased to announce the new member of the literary jury: Piergiorgio Odifreddi, mathematical, logical, Italian essayist and academic.
WHO IS PIERGIORGIO ODIFREDDI
Class 1950, graduated in Mathematics in Italy and specialized in logic in the United States and the Soviet Union.
Internationally renowned mathematician and also scientist, popularizer and writer.
He taught at the University of Turin and at Cornell University in New York.
Collaborate with "Repubblica", "L'Espresso", "The sciences".
Presents as commentator on TV and Radio.
He won in the 2011 the Galileo Prize for scientific popularization and has written several essays and bestsellers published by publishers such as Einaudi, Mondadori and Rizzoli.
His latest book is The genius of women. Brief history of female science, edited by Rizzoli.
