from 17 giugno 2021 will be available in bookstores “THE LITTLE GIRL ON THE SILL” of Daria pellegrini, the winning novel of the UNPUBLISHED section of seventh edition of our International Prize of Literature City of Como published by Francesco Brioschi Editore.
THE PLOT OF THE NOVEL
With her hair pulled back into two messy braids, as in the last day of life, Lara watches her parents from the windowsill.
Witness their gestures, he records his speeches. She fixes her child's gaze on the details of their sufferings.
Forced to depend on the other two daughters, they look back on the past with nostalgia, to the old house, to walks in the woods.
But Lara doesn't care.
That family and the mountain reality in which she grew up had always been close to her. For this, in fact, another one had been built, made up of readings, secrets and small transgressions. Until the afternoon when everything fell apart, literally.
His body was trapped, but she had come home, on the windowsill, even if the parents had already forgotten it.
Until one day the now elderly father sees her in the eyes of a doll with disheveled braids.
Then the memory will become more and more alive, insistent.
